There are few, if any, issues that affect more people than climate change. Our world may be unique in the universe as the only one we can survive on, so it makes sense to write about what’s being done to help protect it. I spent many years writing about the natural gas industry, its impacts on Western Colorado residents, the quality of life and the local environment. More recently, I wrote some stories about the ecology of that same area and how area farmers are welcoming hemp as an alternative — and usually more profitable — crop that also helps fight climate change. I also produced a story about how climate change looms over Western Colorado’s prized deer and elk herds as a possible threat.
